Rules and Regulations

How Do You HuHot? This is the pending question. Mix it up, jazz it up, & share your secret to creating the most unique meal at HuHot.

The contest is simple. Customers will develop & share their own personal recipes with HuHot. They will do this by filling out recipe forms online &/or in the restaurant. The recipes will then be judged. There will be weekly winners at each location, an overall location winner at the end of the 8 weeks for each store & finally three national winners at the end of the competition.

Recipes will be judged on the following equally weighted criteria: originality/creativity of recipe, taste appeal of ingredients and preparation, appropriateness of recipe name and ability of recipe to be executed in all U.S. HuHot Mongolian Grill® restaurants.


Here is a quick “how to”:

(1)    Recipes can be submitted either online or in store
(2)    There will be weekly winners at every store for 8 weeks
(3)    The 8 winners at each store will be narrowed down to an overall location winner
(4)    The overall winners will be entered into the national competition
(5)    Emails announcing the weekly winners & recipes will be emailed & posted online
(6)    The national winners will get money & fame! Recipes will be posted online for all to see!
(7)    All overall local winners will be able to see their recipes at every store in the recipe card collection.

ELIGIBILITY:

You must be 18 years or older to submit your recipe. Must be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia. Employees, family members, officers and directors of HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC., subsidiaries, franchisees or affiliates and the advertising or promotion agencies of each are not eligible to enter or win this Contest. Void in Puerto Rico, U.S. Territories and where prohibited by law.

TO ENTER:

The contest begins on March 1, 2008 and ends on April 25, 2008. To be considered for judging, each entry must include 1) a completed entry form either online or in store (Form must include email address. Entries without a valid email address won’t be accepted), 2) the Entrant’s recipe name, 3) the Entrant's recipe ingredients (must be available in a HuHot Mongolian Grill restaurant) 4) creative instructions for preparing the recipe and 5) a restaurant location. Limit: one (1) entry per person and one (1) Entrant name per entry form (including both online &/or physical form).

When submitting your recipe online or in the store you will automatically be signed up for the HotClub, the HuHot mailing list. By providing your email you are agreeing to these terms.

When submitting your recipe online once you click the "Send" button, you should see a "Thank You" page on your internet browser.  This Thank You page confirms that your Recipe has been received and submitted into a review process.

Enter your recipe on-line, go to your local HuHot Mongolian Grill & fill out a form there or send the recipe with your name, address, valid email and phone number to:

Mailed entries must be received by April 15, 2008. Mailed entries received after April 15,2008, will be considered for the 2009 contest if the contest occurs again. Online entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on April 25, 2008. All entries submitted become the property of Sponsor (HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC). Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Multiple entries from the same Entrant and/or duplicate entries will be void. Sponsor is not responsible for mailed entries that are lost, late, incomplete, altered, damaged, destroyed, ineligible, illegible, postage due or misdirected. By entering the Contest, Entrants and Entrant's Parent/Guardian agree to be bound by the Official Rules. Hard copies of this document are available at HuHot Mongolian Grill® restaurants.

By entering this contest, the submitter consents to the use of his/her recipe; the submitter agrees to have his/her name, photograph, and/or likeness used by HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC® in any and all media throughout the world in perpetuity without restrictions as to frequency and duration of usage. HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC® or its successor and assignees shall be the absolute owner of the recipe and any and all broadcast or printed communication, website content, point-of-sale and other materials (and all rights therein, including copyright) produced by this submission. HuHot or its successor and assignees may use the submitter’s recipe, name, photograph and/or likeness in any manner and with whatever copy it chooses, and may alter the above in such a manner they deem necessary. The submitter is confirming there is no conflict of advertising or promotional commitments that would cause the submitter to be unable to enter into and duly perform the services, and grants the rights by this agreement that is binding to any and all heirs and next of kin, and personal representatives.

We are looking for the most creative recipe with unique flavor in the final product using any item available at a HuHot Mongolian Grill restaurant. All entries must be the original work of the submitter. Any entries judged not to be original will be disqualified. Judges' decisions will be final.

No purchase or visit to a HuHot Mongolian Grill restaurant is required. Employees and families of HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC, are not eligible to enter or win. Upon submitting a recipe for the How Do You HuHot competition each entrant will be registered as a member of the HotClub.

PRIZE POSSIBILITIES:

Weekly Winners
To generate continued excitement in the contest a weekly winner is chosen at every store. These weekly winners will be culled from the registration forms collected in-store that week as well as the online entries that will be forwarded to store owners via email each week. These weekly winners will move on to the next round of the contest.

Weekly Winner Prize: A certificate for two free meals at the winning location. No substitutions allowed.

Overall Store Winner
At the end of the two months, each store will pick an overall winner for their location. The 8 weekly winners will be judged at the store level to determine the overall store winner. Judging is suggested to occur between May 1, 2008 & May 5, 2008. Each overall store winner will be announced on or about May 5.

Overall Store Winner Prize: Certificates for one free dinner a week for a year at the winning location. No substitutions allowed.

National Winners
Once all the local winners have been chosen they will be submitted to the National judging competition.  Judging to determine National winners will occur between May 6, 2008 and May 15, 2008. The decisions of the Contest Judges will be final and binding. Recipes will be judged on the following equally weighted criteria: originality/creativity of recipe, taste appeal of ingredients and preparation, appropriateness of recipe name and ability of recipe to be executed in all U.S. HuHot Mongolian Grill® restaurants.
An impartial third party not associated with HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC, will judge recipes.

National level Prizes: Grand prize of $1500, second place $500 and third place $250. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions allowed.

WINNER SELECTION/JUDGING CRITERIA:

An impartial third party not associated with HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC, will judge recipes. The owner of each individual restaurant will decide the judging criteria to determine local Restaurant Winners. Recipes will be judged on the following equally weighted criteria: originality/creativity of recipe, taste appeal of ingredients and preparation, appropriateness of recipe name and ability of recipe to be executed in all U.S. HuHot Mongolian Grill® restaurants. Judging at the National Competition to determine the. Judging to determine Restaurant Winners will occur between March 1, 2008 and April 30, 2008. The overall local store winner judging will occur between May 1 and May 5, 2008. Judging to determine National winners judging will occur between May 6, 2008 and May 15, 2008. The decisions of the Contest Judges will be final and binding.

Not every entrant will win.

March 1 – March 7, 2008 – winner announced on or about March 12, 2008
March 8 – March 14, 2008 – winner announced on or about March 19, 2008
March 15 – March 21, 2008 – winner announced on or about March 26, 2008
March 22 – March 28, 2008 – winner announced on or about April 2, 2008
March 29 – April 4 – 2008 – winner announced on or about April 9, 2008
April 5 – April 11, 2008 – winner announced on or about April 16, 2008
April 12 – April 18, 2008 – winner announced on or about April 23, 2008
April 19 – April 25, 2008 – winner announced on or about April 30, 2008

The overall store winners will be announced on or around the following date:

May 1, 2008 – May 5, 2008 (Judging) – winner announced on or about May 8, 2008

The national winners will be announced on or around the following date:

May 6, 2008 – May 15, 2008 (Judging) – winner announced on or about May 19, 2008


WINNER NOTIFICATION/RELEASES:

Restaurant Winners and Finalist Winners will be notified via email or mail sent to the Entrant on or about the above dates. The entrant must acknowledge winning so that the prize can be mailed to them via the US Postal Service. The National Winner will be selected and announced on or about May 19, 2007. Prizes will be awarded to the Entrant, who will be required to complete & sign the prize announcement form confirming acceptance of the prize. Failure to timely return such documents may result in Entrant forfeiting any prize they may have been eligible to receive. Any prize or prize notification returned as undeliverable or refused will result in disqualification of Entrant, HuHot may name an alternate winner. By accepting a prize, the Entrant consents (where legal) to the use of the Entrant's name, likeness, photograph, biographical information and statements by Entrant, subsidiaries, franchisees or affiliates for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without notice or compensation.

DISCLAIMER:

At the discretion of HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC this contest can be discontinued or cancelled for any reason or no reason.
