Second Annual Spring Recipe Contest!

Spring is officially here again. The days are getting longer; the sun is shining and its time for some Spring Cleaning!

Help us add to our collection with our Second Annual recipe contest. Your original recipe ideas are needed and we look forward to your unique and delicious submissions, once again.

The best part, of course, the prizes!

Starting Tuesday, April 1, 2008  and running through Wednesday, April 30, 2008, submit your favorite, unique, Alaska Smokehouse or Famous Pacific Dessert Company recipes and you will be entered to win one of three very delicious prizes!

Our staff will personally taste test the top recipes sent in and three lucky winners will be chosen! 

Grand Prize for Best Recipe will be awarded our “McKinley Gift Basket” retailed at $129.95
One of our biggest and best, filled to the brim with everything your heart could desire! From our delicious smoked salmon, spreads and caviar, to our scrumptious cookies, cocoas and coffee.

2nd Prize: Grand Delight Basket
One of our new dessert baskets. This one combines a delightful taste of our tea cookies, purees, cocoas and coffees to curb any sweet tooth.

3rd Prize: 4 oz Traditional Whale Wood Box
A beautiful hand decorated Native American design imprinted onto a collectible keepsake box, filled with a 4oz Natural smoked salmon fillet.

In order to participate, valid entries must include the following sent to contest@alaskasmokehouse.com.

  • Valid email address
  • Recipe of your creation which includes either an Alaska Smokehouse or Famous Pacific Dessert Company product with ingredient list and cooking instructions.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
  1. No purchase is necessary.
  2. Contest is void where prohibited by law. Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.   Winner must reside in or have a “shipping” address within the 50 United States of America.
  3. One entry per household.
  4. Email entries be emailed to contest@alaskasmokehouse.com only.
  5. Entries must be received no later than 11:59PM Pacific Time on April 30, 2008
  6. Winners will be contacted via phone and/or email no later than 3pm Pacific Time on Monday May 5, 2008
  7. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Alaska Smokehouse and The Famous Pacific Dessert Company will not be responsible for non-deliverable entries.
  8. All entries become property of Alaska Smokehouse and The Famous Pacific Dessert Company. Entry constitutes permission to edit, modify, publish and otherwise use the recipe in any way without compensation.   Recipes will be posted on our website with initials only of the contributor along with city and state. 
RECIPE REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Recipe must be original. An original recipe is the product of one's own mind and is not a copy or imitation. If the recipe is derived from a previously published one, it must have at least four significant ingredients that are different and the method of preparation changed to qualify. Submission of recipe denotes entrants' verification of recipe originality.
  2. Recipe must not have been submitted to another contest, promotional event, or for publication at any time.
  3. Recipe must use product of Alaska Smokehouse or The Famous Pacific Dessert Company to be valid.
  4. Recipe must list ingredients in order of use and in exact, standard U.S. measurements.
  5. Recipe must include your full name, address, and valid daytime telephone number and email address to be considered.  
PRIZES:
  1. Prizes are non-transferable, may not be redeemed for cash, and must be redeemed in 2008. No substitution of prizes is allowed. Alaska Smokehouse and The Famous Pacific Dessert Company reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value in the event that the original prize is not available for delivery.
  2. Applicable federal, state and local taxes on prizes, if applicable, are the sole responsibility of the winners.
