Food Kids Love – New category just for kids
Chili
:
Any chili recipe, made using Williams Chili Seasoning,
including vegetarian chilies, those with a combination of
meats, and those made with or without beans, is eligible.
Recipes must use at least one (1-ounce) package of any
variety of Williams Chili Seasoning.
What's For Dinner?
This would be any recipe that
answers the mealtime dilemma for busy families. Recipes
should be tasty, yet quick and easy to prepare. Any recipe
using one package of any variety of William’s seasonings,
sauce mixes or products is eligible. Products from Williams
Foods, or from the fine family of Williams products is
eligible for this category and these include, but are not
limited to, chili seasoning, gravy mixes, spaghetti, taco,
meatloaf, beef stew, sloppy Joe or other Williams
seasonings, soup mixes, canned chili beans, canned tomatoes
and green chilies or any Sun Bird Oriental seasoning or
sauce mixes. Recipes must use at least one package or can
and may use several. Recipes may be cooked, if desired,
using any standard method (including stove, grill, slow
cooker, microwave oven, etc.)
Food Kids Love
This new category is just for kids, ages 8 to 14. What foods
do you love to eat? When you cook, what do you like to
prepare? Recipes should be yummy and easy to prepare so
other kids can easily prepare the dish. Any recipe using one
package of any variety of Williams’s seasonings, sauce mixes
or products is eligible. Recipes must use at least one
package or can, or may use several.
Grand Prize -
$1000.00; First Prize - $500.00, Second Prize -
$250.00, Third Prize - $100.00
(One each of the listed monetary prizes will be
awarded in each category.)
Honorable Mention –
Samples of products supplied by Williams Foods with
approximate retail value of $20.00

Williams Foods reserves the
right to substitute any prize with one of equal value at any
time.
Contest begins June 15, 2007. Deadline for entry is May 1,
2008
. All recipes must be
postmarked by May 1 and received by May 15, 2008. Electronic
entries must be received by 11:59 CDT, May 1, 2008.

Enter as often as you wish, but only one entry per envelope
or email. Only one prize per household will be awarded.
No telephone
questions or entries will be accepted.
Type or print recipe
neatly. Include; name, address
(including street or P.O., city, state and zip code),
telephone number with area code, and email address if
applicable. Children must include the name and address of
his/her parent or guardian. Specify category ("Chili",
"What's For Dinner?" or "Foods Kids Love") recipe is to
be entered. Contest is open to legal U.S. residents,
residing in one of theU.S. states other than Hawaii and
Alaska.
"Foods Kids Love"
category is open to children age 8 to 14 years old. Children
must turn 8 by June 15, 2007 and must still be 14 on May 1,
2008. Children must include their birth date, and the name
and address of their parent or guardian. Recipe must be
child's own work and require very limited, if any, parent or
adult assistance to prepare. "Chili" and "What's For
Dinner" categories are open to adults and those
entering must be 21 years old by June 15, 2007.
Each recipe must include name
of recipe, Williams Foods product as required for category,
a complete list of other ingredients in standard U.S. level
measurements, complete instructions, cooking method, time
and temperature, if applicable, number of servings, and any
other relevant information.
Anyone employed by, or
associated with Williams Foods, Inc., its agencies, brokers,
or representatives and their immediate families or
households, and anyone currently or formerly, involved in
the preparation of food for pay, such as chefs, caterers,
dietitians, nutritionists, home economists, food writers,
culinary instructors, etc., or those holding degrees or
certificates in food, culinary arts, food/restaurant
management or similar studies, are not eligible. Children of
those ineligible to enter are also disqualified. Contest
void where prohibited or restricted by law. No purchase
necessary.
A panel, selected by the
sponsor, will judge all recipes received. Criteria will be
as follows: Taste (40%), Ease of Preparation (30%),
Originality/Creativity (20%) and Appearance (10%).
All recipes must be the
entrant's original work, have not been published and must
not have won other prizes. Original is defined as not being
previously published in the same, or substantially similar,
form. All semi-finalists will be required to sign an
affidavit indicating originality or recipe and eligibility
of entering. Children must have a parent sign an affidavit
grating permission for child to participate. Williams Foods
employees, officers and agents and members of the judging
panel will not be liable for any copyright infringements or
any prior exclusivity rights to any recipe submitted. By
participating, each contestant accepts these rules and
agrees to the decision of the judges. They also agree to
return any awards they receive if the signed affidavit
proves untrue and to indemnify Williams Foods and its agents
against any and all damages and expenses incurred. Williams
Foods has the right to publish or advertise the recipe and
its name, or the name and photograph of the contestants
without added compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Williams Foods can edit or modify recipes or recipe titles.
All recipes become the
property of Williams Foods, Inc.; none will be acknowledged
or returned. The decision of the judges is final. Rules are
subject to change. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole
discretion, to cancel, or suspend the contest at any time
and without notice.
Only entries mailed via the
U.S. Postal Service, or sent in electronic form to the noted
address, will be accepted. Electronic entries should be
submitted only once. Entries submitted via facsimile or sent
via other express delivery services will not be accepted.
Not responsible for lost, late, misdirected or other
undeliverable mail, or entries that cannot be processed due
to phone, electronic or computer hardware or software
failure or technical failures of any kind. We will not be
responsible for recipe revisions or corrections.
Any taxes applicable to the
winnings are the sole responsibility of the winners. Winners
will be selected and notified within approximately 180 days
of contest deadline. Prior to receiving their prize, the
winner, or in the case of children, the parent or guardian
of the child, will be required to sign affidavit that, in
addition to ascertaining recipe originality and eligibility
to enter, will confirm name, address, phone number, and
provide social security number. Any winner who cannot be
located at the address provided or who fails to execute
affidavit of eligibility and release of liability within 14
days of notification will forfeit prize and an alternate
winner will be selected.
Williams Foods, it affiliates
and subsidiaries and their shareholders, directors,
officers, managers, members, agents and employees (the
"sponsors") will have no liability for any claim arising in
connection with participation in this contest or with the
use or misuse of any prize awarded. By participating in the
contest, each participant agrees to release and hold the
Sponsors harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights,
claims and actions of any kind in connection with the
contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or
misuse of any prize, including without limitation, personal
injury, death, property damage, and claims based on
publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
