BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS    WEEKNIGHT STEAK DISHES

When prep time for dinner is short, one solution is steak. Choose the cut of steak you like best — tri-tip, top sirloin, ribeye, top loin/strip, tenderloin, T-bone/porterhouse, or flank. Tell us how you prepare the meat — broil, skillet cook, or grll — and how you serve it. Perhaps the cooked meat is sliced in a salad with plenty of veggies and a zesty dressing finished off with a flavorful butter, or accompanied with a weeknight-fast sauce. Send us your newly created recipe for steak durning the week.

Your original recipe could be worth up to $400, and winning recipes will be entered to win the 2009 annual Grand Prize — worth up to $10,000 in merchandise. To participate, enter your original recipe(s) (recipes never before published) in our Prize Tested Recipes; contest, which features two new categories each month. Four winning recipes (top two recipes in each category) will be published each month in the magazine and on BHG.com.

Monthly Prizes: Two $400, Two $200, Ten $50 honor roll winners.
