COUNTRY WOMAN WE'RE TALKING TURKEYBeyond the holiday table, tasty turkey has a place on the menu year-round. That's why we picked the popular poultry as the focus of our "We're Talking Turkey" recipe contest. Think Thanksgiving—and beyond. We'll welcome serving options for the whole bird—roasted to deep-fried to grilled—and more. Maybe your favorite turkey recipe starts with ground or deli turkey or convenient turkey parts. Let us know if you stuff it in croquettes, quesadillas or wraps, or make it into meatballs or lasagnas. Do you roast turkey with herbs or stir-fry it with apricots? Or perhaps a flaky turkey pot pie is your comfort food of choice. Fill us in on your favorite turkey sandwiches, salads and soups, too. Whether it's as traditional as turkey and dumpling stew or an updated twist, like a curried turkey croissant, we're ready to try it. Our Test Kitchen is already on turkey alert! We'll present the winners in the October/November 2009 issue of Country Woman. Contest Deadline - February 01, 2009Each of the 8 winners in the Country Woman "We're Talking Turkey" contest receives a wonderful prize:
Contest RulesYou may enter more than one recipe. If you email or mail your recipe, be sure to print the name of the contest as well as your full name, street address and phone number, including area code, with each entry. Be specific with measurements, directions and the size of cans, packages and pans so others can successfully make your recipe. Include a few words about the origin of your recipe. Share any compliments it's received, plus any variations you recommend. If any duplicates are received, the entries with the earliest postmarks will be considered.
