CREATE DUNKIN'S NEXT DONUT CONTEST

DESCRIPTION

Create your unique donut online beginning with one of Dunkin Donut's 7 doughs, then choosing a shape, fillings, icing and toppings to complete your creation. Give it a name and write a short essay about what inspired it and/or why it is the best.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of the United States and DC who are at least 13 years old. Minors must have their parent/guardian's permission to enter. Prizes will be awarded to the parent or legal guardian of any winner who is a minor in his/her state of residence.

PRIZES

Grand Prize: $12,000.00 check made payable to the winner and the opportunity to have the Donut Creation produced as part of the Dunkin' Donuts product line as a Limited Edition donut.

COOKING UP CHANGE

Design a healthy school lunch (1 entrée, 2 sides) and submit the recipes, a report on the nutritional content of the recipes, and photos of your team during various stages of the process. Use only ingredients from the official ingredient list.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to teams of 3 college students, all with previous knowledge of basic culinary skills and familiarity with foodservice safety issues. (For corresponding high school contest, see the Jr. Cooks page.)

PRIZES

Finalist teams will receive all-expense paid trips to Detroit, MI to a cook-off at Taking Root, the National Farm to Cafeteria conference May 16-18, 2010. DESCRIPTION

Submit a video between 30 seconds and 3 minutes in length that includes answers to these questions: 1) What does real food mean to you? 2) How does what we eat affect our culture, health, economy, or environment? 3) Why should your cafeteria start or continue buying local food?

ELIGIBILITY

This contest is limited to K-12 and college students; the video may be a group project.

PRIZES

2 winners, one k-12 and one college video entry, will receive $1,000 for their cafeteria food project; 1 representative from each winning video entry and a select chaperone win an all expense paid trip (registration, travel, and lodging) to the 5th National Farm to Cafeteria Conference in Detroit, Michigan May 17-19, 2010.
