DESCRIPTION

Barhyte Specialty Foods is looking for 50 food bloggers ("Mamas" or "Papas") who will accept their Saucy Mama Blogger Kit complete with samples of six top-selling dressings, marinades, and mustards, along with six extra bottles of their bestselling condiments to give away to your own blog readers! Create recipes using the product, and publish the recipes on your personal blog by September 1.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal U.S. residents, 18 or older, who have maintained a blog for at least 3 months. Blog must be updated at least 4 times a month.

PRIZES

Grand Prize is $1000; winner also will have their original recipe printed on the Saucy Mama label corresponding to the ingredient in the dish — to be seen nationwide in gourmet and specialty food stores. SUTTER HOME'S BUILD A BETTER BURGER® CONTEST 2010

DESCRIPTION

Create and enter (beginning March 1) a burger recipe in one of 2 categories: Beef (75% beef or greater) or Alternative (other ground foods, including less than 75% beef). The burger must be prepared on a standard outdoor grill, and served on a bread product. Previous non-winning entries may be updated and resubmitted. 5 finalists from each category will compete in the Cook-off on September 25, 2010 in Napa Valley, CA.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to U.S. residents, aged 21 years or older, except for residents of CA, PR, and other US territories; previous winners; and others as specified in the rules.

PRIZES

Grand Prize Winner for the Best Beef Burger: cash prize of $100,000. Best Alternative Burger Winner: cash prize of $15,000; First Runner-Up for both Best Beef and Best Alternative Burgers: $500 each; Second Runner-Up for both Best Beef and Best Alternative Burgers: $250 each. People’s Choice Award (by votes at Cook-off): $2,500. DESCRIPTION

Submit an original grilling entrée recipe which includes ingredients commonly available at retailers, and include 1 of Redwood Creek's 9 varietal table wines both as an ingredient and a Wine Pairing recommendation. Recipe should serve 4-6 people. Include a digital photograph of the prepared grilling entrée. Be sure to answer the survey questions on the entry form!

ELIGIBILITY

Open to residents of the 48 contiguous United States and DC, aged 21 years or older, (void in AK, CA, HI, TN, UT, PR).

PRIZES

Grand Prize: trip for Winner and 1 guest (over 21) to attend one Steve Raichlen’s Barbecue University® course in 2011, and a donation in the amount of $2,500 made in the Grand Prize Winner’s name to an outdoor charity of Winner's choice. Enter a recipe using Athens Fillo Dough or Athens Mini Fillo Shells as an ingredient and including the “Monthly Ingredient” incorporated with the monthly theme. The recipe must have no more than 6 ingredients and a maximum prep time of 15 minutes if you are using the Fillo Shells or 10 ingredients and a maximum prep time of 45 minutes if using the Fillo Dough. This month's ingredient is Corn and the theme is "Grilling/complement to grilling." Bonus points for photos.

2010 FUNDCRAFT PUBLISHING HOMETOWN RECIPE CONTEST

DESCRIPTION

Had a recipe included this year in a fundraising cookbook published through Fundcraft? The organization can submit up to 3 recipes from each of 7 categories from the cookbook (21 total).

ELIGIBILITY

Open to organizations or individuals publishing a fundraising cookbook with Fundcraft during 2010.

PRIZES

7 First Place Prizes (1/category): $500 awarded to sponsoring organization and $500 awarded to recipe contributor. 7 Second Place Prizes (1/category): $250 awarded to sponsoring organization, $250 awarded to recipe contributor. First and Second Place winning recipes will be photographed in full color and featured on the first and second page of the 2010 Hometown Recipe Collection Cookbook. The winners also receive a free copy of the cookbook (ARV $30), and an Award Plaque.
Runners-Up in each of seven recipe categories will receive a Certificate of Merit, and inclusion in the 2010 Hometown Recipe Collection Cookbook.

DESCRIPTION

Create and enter a recipe which features mushrooms.  Any type of dish is eligible:  appetizer, soup, salad/vegetable, main dish, miscellaneous (perhaps even a dessert!).

PRIZES

Grand prize: a locally made Port Orford Cedar plank and a copy of the Assistance League's Beautiful Bountiful Oregon.
