CHOPPED AT HOME CHALLENGE - 3

DESCRIPTION

Create an original dish using all the basket ingredients. Submit a photo of your dish, a description of how the dish was prepared and how the basket ingredients were used. Your actual recipe is not requested. Don’t forget to include the required Sargento® cheese packaging in your photo.
This is the third of a series of three contest periods with the same challenge, but using different ingredients. The required ingredients in this period are: Sargento® Chef Blends 4 State Cheddar, Kale, Oyster crackers, and Bacon. Two Finalists will be chosen from this period to compete in the final Cook-off in New York City in July or August, 2015.

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC (excluding MD and ND) who are age 21 or older.

Submit a cocktail recipe featuring one sponsor wine product (at least 1 oz) per entry. You may also include the sponsor’s Torres Orange Liqueur as a spirit ingredient additional to a wine. Enter your best recipe for macaroni and cheese. You must use at least 3 dairy products, including at least 8 ounces of a USA-produced cheese. The recipe should produce 12-15 servings. Include a photo of the prepared dish with your entry. There are three categories: Chefs; Farmers; and Home Cooks. One finalists from each category will participate in the August 15, 2015 cook-off at the Indiana State Fair. They will have 30 minutes for recipe preparation; 30 minutes for cooking/baking and 15 minutes for garnishing/presentation.

GLOBAL 'TASTE OF KOREA' CONTEST 2015: NEW YORK PRELIMINARIES

DESCRIPTION

Complete an application and include a link to a video of you cooking Korean food; you may also include photos of yourself cooking Korean food. Cook a dish using at least one of these ingredients: gochujang (red chili paste), doenjang (soybean paste), ganjang (soy sauce). The entry form does not seem to require the directions portion of your recipe.
This is one of 17 regional preliminary rounds for the Global 'Taste of Korea' Contest. We're posting only the English language regional contests. Twelve finalists from this round will compete in person to determine a winner to participate in the final competition in South Korea. Only 1 hour will be allowed to prepare the dish in competition.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to US citizens, 18 or older. If you are Korean or of Korean descent, you are not eligible to enter.

PRIZES

US REGIONAL PRIZES
12 Finalist Prizes: The opportunity to compete in the Regional Round. (We can't find information stating whether or not transportation to the event is provided.)
1 Regional Round Prize: An invitation to Korea to participate in the Final Round of the competition, competing against winners of other Regional Rounds. (Another of the regional contests' rules indicate that it is an all‐expenses‐paid trip to Korea, comprised of a round‐trip air ticket to Korea, accommodations for 11 days, meals, food materials for the contest, basic cookware for the contest, and one personal interpreter assigned to each participant).

Submit a video (3-10 minutes) of your child cooking an original recipe which includes one or more Bob's Red Mill® or Neislen-Massey® Vanillas products as an ingredient. Including ingredients from more than one sponsor will earn additional points. Upload the recipe also.
Contest is judged in three categories: Ages 4-8, Ages 9-14, and Cooking Together (child 4-14 and parent/guardian both appear in video). Rules do not specify that the recipe must be created by the child.

DESCRIPTION

Complete an application and include photos and a video of yourself cooking Korean food along with your recipe. The theme for this round of competition round is Japchae, a Korean dish made from sweet potato noodles, stir fried in sesame oil with vegetables, sometimes served with beef, and flavoured with soy sauce, and sweetened with sugar.
This is one of 17 regional preliminary rounds for the Global 'Taste of Korea' Contest. We're posting only the English language regional contests. Twelve finalists from this round will compete in person to determine a winner to participate in the final competition in South Korea.

ELIGIBILITY

Participants and their parents can never have held Korean citizenship and at least one parent should not be of Korean heritage. Open to US citizens 18 or older only; the rules do not state you must be from Hawai'i.

Create and enter a burger recipe, defined as a grilled patty formed of ground meat or other ground foods, and served on a bread product or alternative wrappings such as lettuce.
