Prove you don't have to go out for take-out by entering your personal take on Chinese-American classics. Choose your category from Chow Mein, Chop Suey, Fried Rice, General Tso’s Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, and Tomato Beef, reimagine the dish, and submit the recipe along with a photo and description of the dish and a brief bio of yourself.

Ten finalists will compete at the Cook-Off in Centerville, TN on October 3, 2015. Finalists will be required to make two 2-quart puddings; one in a dish of their own choosing and one in a provided stoneware "Puddin' Pot."

BOB'S BEST HOME-BAKED BREAD CONTEST

DESCRIPTION

Deliver your freshly-baked yeast bread containing at least one Bob's Red Mill product to the judges on the Creative Living Stage at the Oregon State Fair between 10:15am & 11:00am on September 4, 2015. Stick around until noon — you must be present to win.
Don't do breads for restricted diets or from mixes. You must attach your recipe to your entry, and the receipt for your Bob's Red Mill ingredient(s).

Create and enter a burger recipe, defined as a grilled patty formed of ground meat or other ground foods, and served on a bread product or alternative wrappings such as lettuce. It may include condiments, sauces, spreads, cheeses, and toppings, all in or on the bread product/alternative wrapping. No side dishes or garnishes are allowed. Size your recipe to make 6 burgers or 12-18 sliders. Recipes must be completely preparable in 60 minutes or less. The use of sustainable, organic, and locally sourced ingredients is encouraged. The sponsor would also prefer recipes that are not overly complicated or costly to make.
Previous non-winning entries may be updated and resubmitted.

ELIGIBILITY

Upload a great photo of your original creation featuring the use of an apple (or apples) in a bold and exciting way. Include a mouth-watering description of the dish, but there is no need to include the full recipe or list of ingredients. You may enter three recipes but each must be via a different method: sponsor's website, Instagram, and Twitter. Use the hashtag #KitchenAidContest on Instagram and Twitter.
Four finalists will compete in a cook-off in New York in October 2015 at a Food Network studio.

If you have an authentic 1880s Chuck Wagon, apply for your team to compete to cook up the best meals fit for the trail using only ingredients and slow-cook, wood-fire methods from that time period. The competition will be held in Chandler, AZ on November 6-7, 2015. Plan to prepare enough meals for 50 ticket holders. You will be judged in these categories: Meat, Beans, Bread, Potatoes, and Dessert, as well as Best Overall Meal, and Most Authentic Trail Wagon. There is also a Charlie Goodnight Award (Unique Award).
Although there is a $50 deposit due with your application, when you arrive this will be refunded and you will also receive $200 for Show-up/travel. Beans, cooking oil, flour, fruit, potatoes, onions, butter, beef, and ice will be provided.
(We realize most of you don't have a chuck wagon — but if you are in the area this would be a great festival to attend.)
