DESCRIPTION

To participate in this challenge, register on the sponsor's website, choosing the flavor of the sponsor's granola you'd like to use in your entry. There is a limit of 50 participants for this contest, so apply immediately.
When your free sample of granola arrives, create an original dessert recipe and post it publicly on your food blog, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram to qualify. Then email the recipe, an unwatermarked photo of the dish, a photo of yourself, and the URLs of posts and shares to the sponsor. You are encouraged to share your entry on any and all additional forms of social media, submitting the URLs as applicable. You have until July 31, 2016 to complete your submission

KIDS BAKING CHAMPIONSHIP – SEASON 3 CASTING CALL

DESCRIPTION

Do you think that your son or daughter was born to bake? Talented kids ages 8-13 with the ability to bake a variety of different desserts are needed for Season 3 of Kids' Baking Championship. A parent/guardian must apply on behalf of their child. Submit an application, including a photo of your child and photos of items he/she has prepared.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC. The parent/guardian submitting the application must be over 18, but the child should be 8-13 years old.

PRIZES

Finalist Prizes: The opportunity to be a contestant on the show. Transportation and lodging are normally provided for show contestants.
Grand Prize: To be announced; probably a cash prize. The Season 1 prize was $10,000, and Season 2 had a Grand Prize of  $25,000.

Create and enter a video no more than 3 minutes long showing how to prepare a recipe and why it's more fun cooking together. There are two categories: Multigenerational (at least two generations must be involved in the making of the video) and Youth (at least two persons 18 and under must be involved in the making of the video, with a non-participatory team captain age 19 or older).

ELIGIBILITY

Open to all residents of British Columbia of all ages, but at least one member of the team must be 19 or older. The contest has been expanded to Manitoba this year, but they are judged separately for separate prizes.

PRIZES

Multigenerational Category
   Grand Prize: $1000 cash.
   Runner Up Prize: $500 cash.
   People's Choice Prize: $300 cash.
Youth Category
  
Grand Prize: $500 cash for the winning team and $500 cash for school or youth program of choice.

TASTE OF KOREA K-CUISINE CONTEST

DESCRIPTION

Create a main entrée which includes at least one choice of meat and one Korean condiment, and in addition an appetizer which includes kimchi as one of the key ingredients. Your goal should be to create a perfect pairing between entrée and starter by using Korean condiments and kimchi to inspire and promote Korean cuisine to all food lovers. If you also submit a video or picture of a Korean dish you have previously created, you will receive extra points  during judging in the actual competition.
Eight to twelve applicants will be chosen to compete in the Los Angeles Preliminaries, held June 1, 2016. (Transportation & lodging for this event are not provided). If selected for the cook-off, you will be required to prepare both your recipes in one hour. This competition is a preliminary event for a worldwide competition.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to citizens of the United States who are age 18 or older, of a non-Korean ethnic background and legally eligible to travel to Korea July 13-20, 2016.

This contest is divided into three entry periods. Create and photograph a unique dish fitting the theme for this contest entry period, and using all four of the mystery basket ingredients for the period. Submit your photo and a 200 word (or less) description of the dish and its preparation.

2016 LEGENDARY LENTIL COOK-OFF

Submit your unique recipes containing at least ½ cup raw USA lentils, 1 cup cooked USA lentils, and/or 1 cup lentil flour along with a corresponding photo of the dish. You must be able to complete cooking of the recipe in 2 hours. Do not use more than 15 ingredients, not including salt, pepper or an oiled pan in the count.
This year is the 28th Annual National Lentil Festival. Five finalists will be invited to come to Pullman, WA to compete and enjoy the Festival August 19-20, 2016.

This is a baking contest open to all who want to bring an entry to Jay, VT between 8-10am, August 13. Preregistration is optional and you do not submit the recipe until the day of judging.
Bring 2 separately packaged indentical items, one for judging and one for sale at the associated fundraiser. Include a copy of your recipe with the proof of purchase stapled to it. Entries should be made from scratch using King Arthur Flour or made with a King Arthur Flour Mix. 10 extra points will be given if the item is homemade.
There are two divisions, each with a separate theme.
