Purchase any 2 or more eligible Oriental Merchant products in a single transaction from any stocking retailer nationally during the Promotional Period, and retain your proof of purchase and product barcodes until winners are announced. 2017 WALK ON! KIDS COOKING CHALLENGE

DEADLINE

January 25, 2017

DESCRIPTION

Kids ages 9-12 are invited to create an original recipe for a hot or cold side dish that features at least one (or more) fruit and/or vegetable, and that can be cooked on a stove top, in an oven or in a microwave within 20 minutes (not including prep time). Parents must enter the recipe for the child. Five finalists will be chosen to bring their dishes to Phoenix for judging at a Phoenix Suns game on February 10, 2017.

ELIGIBILITY

Entry must be created primarily by a resident of Arizona age 9-12, but submitted by the child's parent/guardian.

PRIZES

5 Finalist Prizes: Tickets for 2 to a Phoenix Suns game February 10, 2017 at Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix, where the student will present their recipe. All finalists will receive fun prizes.
Grand Prize: A bike. The winner may also be invited to show their stuff on TV in a local cooking demonstration.

This is the third of three cooking challenges, with monthly and overall winners. To enter, come up with an innovative recipe idea that meets the sustainable cooking challenge for the entry period. 2017 STATEN ISLAND ADVANCE COOKBOOK CONTEST

DESCRIPTION

The format for this annual contest has changed this year. Weekly ingredient suggestions will be made that may motivate a submission. Food and drink recipes will be judged separately. You should indicate the season — spring, summer, fall, winter — in which your recipe is best served. Submit your recipes with a photo. Do not call for brand name ingredients.
Six food recipe finalists and and one drink recipe finalist from each season will be asked to bring their prepared recipe to the annual taste-off. The final judging event will be held at The Hilton Garden Inn on March 19, 2017.

ELIGIBILITY

Open only to legal residents of New York and New Jersey. Professional mixologists are welcome to enter the drink category, and culinary students may enter the food category. Executive chefs and line cooks are encouraged to sit this one out and let the amateurs have a chance to shine!

PRIZES

Food Grand Prize: $1,000.
Cocktail Grand Prize: $500.

It's cookie season, and the craving is on! What special treat have you developed? Just about any type of cookie will be accepted (but they don't list bars and brownies). The standard 12-ingredient limit is not mentioned in the rules for this Taste of Home contest.
Taste of Home wants to hear the background or story of each recipe. You may also upload a photo.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of Canada (excluding QC), the 50 United States and DC who are age 18 or older. Once you have won the Grand Prize in a Taste of Home contest, you are not eligible to win a Grand Prize for one year; you may win lesser prizes.
