CHOPPED AT HOME CHALLENGE - 1

DEADLINE

DESCRIPTION

Create an original dish using all the basket ingredients. Submit a photo of your dish, a description of how the dish was prepared and how the basket ingredients were used. Your actual recipe is not requested. Don’t forget to include the required Sargento® cheese packaging in your photo.
This is the first of a series of three contest periods with the same challenge, but using different ingredients. The required ingredients in this period are: Sargento® Chef Blends 6 Cheese Italian, Boneless, skinless chicken breast, Red bell pepper, Greek yogurt. One Finalist will be chosen from this period to compete in the final Cook-off in New York City in July or August, 2015.

ELIGIBILITY

Create a sandwich or wrap featuring avocados, and take a photo featuring the food item only (no people or animals). Beginning February 2, 2015, enter your photo and the name of your creation. Although there are four entry periods in this contest you may only enter once. (The contest is preceded with a sweepstakes which you may also enter, by creating a virtual sandwich.)

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC who are age 18 or older.

PRIZES

Grand Prize: Winner's choice of a FANtastic trip to any city in the world, OR A kitchen makeover, OR a Man Cave makeover, valued at up to $25,000. If winner should select a makeover, winner shall be solely responsible to select a local contractor or other sources as required to execute renovation and Sponsor will pay the contractor directly. BARKER'S OF GERALDINE: RECIPE DEVELOPER/FOOD BLOGGER COMPETITION

DESCRIPTION

Using any Barker’s of Geraldine product, create and enter your own take on a classic recipe. Use the Hashtag #BarkersFoodies2015 if entering on Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest. Please include two styled images - taken by you (same recipe, different perspectives) to showcase your skills.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of New Zealand. No age restrictions stated.

PRIZES

Grand Prize: a 12 month contract with Barker's of Geraldine to create delicious recipes using Barker's products; a trip to the Barker's family farm in Geraldine; a one-on-one workshop with Annabelle White; and a special Barker's gift pack (ARV $7,500). KENTUCKY MONTHLY: GO LOCAL READER RECIPE CONTEST

DESCRIPTION

Enter recipes that fit the theme "Go Local Fare" — at least one ingredient must shine the spotlight on Kentucky’s farmers and producers.

ELIGIBILITY

You must be a current or previous resident of Kentucky or have a "compelling tie" to Kentucky. The rules don't prohibit chefs from entering, but the prize details hint that the sponsor might be only wanting recipes from home cooks. No age requirements stated.

PRIZES

Grand Prize: A getaway package from Kentucky State Parks. Includes a two-night stay at the resort park of your choosing plus dinner for two at the resort restaurant both evenings.
Runners-Up Prizes: A Kentucky Cooking Gift Set, which includes the Kentucky Monthly cookbook, Seasoned Cooking of Kentucky, and a Commonwealth-shaped cookie cutter. (No indication of how many of these prizes will be given).

KENTUCKY BEEF COUNCIL 2015 DERBY BURGER CHALLENGE

DESCRIPTION

Enter your best burger recipe to celebrate the Kentucky Derby! All meat in the burger must be 100% ground beef although other ingredients may be added in the patty, such as spices, vegetables, etc. The patty and all condiments, sauces, cheeses and toppings must be placed between a bun or bread pieces, or served open-faced on a bread product. A cook-off will be held March 23, 2015 in Louisville, KY for four finalists.

ELIGIBILITY

Must be age 21 or older. May be for Kentucky residents only, but that's not stated. Transportation to the cook-off is not provided.

You must apply to participate in this challenge. If accepted, you will be sent your choice of one free spice blend packet from Healthy Solutions Spice Blends to create a recipe. Enter a recipe that specifies the use of at least 6 cloves of fresh garlic, or the equivalent packaged form (three teaspoons minced or chopped). Keep the title of your recipe under 10 words, and include a photo with the entry. This is a contest where elaborate, multi-part dishes — and even a side dish — seem to be welcomed, as long as you can meet the time limits!
If you are one of the 8 Finalists chosen to participate in the Cook-off on July 25, 2015, you will be expected to prepare seven separate plates, all within a maximum of two hours. Five plates will be for the judges, one plate for the emcees, and one plate will be used for presentation to the judges and for media purposes.

Open to legal residents of Canada and United States who are age 21 or older. Previous first, second, and third place winners must sit out three years before re-entering.
