CAPE COD SELECT: HOLIDAY BLOGGER RECIPE CHALLENGE

DESCRIPTION

Bloggers, hurry and sign up to participate in this recipe challenge — only 75 participants will be accepted! Once you are accepted, you will then have until December 31 to create and submit recipes using Cape Cod Select’s premium frozen cranberries in beverages, entrées (no side dishes), and baked goods. You are encouraged to participate in all three categories.
All qualified participants will receive two free 16 oz. bags of Cape Cod Select’s premium frozen cranberries (their mixed fruit products are not eligible for this challenge). Entries must be posted on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram to qualify (other social media is also encouraged), and you must submit links to all of the above, as well as each recipe and a photo of the corresponding finished beverage or dish.

ELIGIBILITY

SIMPLY SESAME BLOGGER RECIPE CHALLENGE

DEADLINE

Register ASAP! (entries due by January 15, 2017)

DESCRIPTION

Apply quickly to participate in this blogger recipe challenge — only 75 participants will be accepted! Once you are accepted, you will then have until January 15 to create and submit recipes using Simply Sesame products.
All qualified participants will receive three free 10 oz. jars of Simply Sesame products, one each of Vanilla with Almond Bites, Pistachio Morsels with a hint of Cardamom, or Pure Roasted Sesame. All entries must contain one of these products. Your recipe along with a photo of the product used must be posted on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram to qualify (other social media is also encouraged), and you must submit links to all of the above, as well as each recipe and a photo of the corresponding finished beverage or dish

STIRRINGS STIR IT UP HOLIDAY BLOGGER MIXOLOGY CHALLENGE

DEADLINE

Register ASAP! (entries due by January 15, 2017)

DESCRIPTION

Apply now to participate in this blogger recipe challenge — only 100 participants will be accepted! When applying, also choose 2 complimentary Stirrings products or Rimmer cocktail garnishes from the list of participating Stirrings products to be used in the creation of your recipe. Once you are accepted, you will then have until January 15 to create and submit a cocktail recipe using Stirrings products.
All entries must contain one of these products. A photo of your cocktail and the product used (no people, and check other limitations) must be posted on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to qualify (other social media is also encouraged), with the hashtag #STIRRINGSMIXOLOGYCONTEST (entries missing the hashtag are disqualified). The blog post must have links to Stirrings social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as well as list the retail locations where the applicable Stirrings product may be purchased. Submit links to your blog post, as well the recipe and photo.

ELIGIBILITY

Open worldwide, but you must provide a valid Indian address to which the prize may be shipped. No age limits given.

BAKE IT POSSIBLE

DEADLINE

December 4, 2016

DESCRIPTION

Develop an original recipe that uses at least one complete package of a participating Pillsbury or Betty Crocker baking product available in Canada and takes 60 minutes or less to prepare (excluding cooling/chilling time after preparation). Photograph it. Enter your photo and a brief description, including the hashtag #BakeItPossible if you enter via Twitter, Instagram or Google Plus (account must be set to "public").
Fifty semifinalists will be invited to submit their written recipes for further judging, and from those, ten finalists will be chosen to participate at a cook-off in the spring of 2017.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority.

PRIZES

Grand Prize: $10,000 CDN. The winner may be required to participate in further publicity events.

Create and enter an Instructable about your vegan recipes, ingredient substitutions, cooking hacks or any other food-related tips that help you stay true to your vegan values.
You may also enter a Instructable with this theme that was created after the start date, but not submitted to this contest.

ELIGIBILITY

Open nearly worldwide (excluded are residents of any country subject to a US trade embargo (North Korea, Syria, Sudan, Cuba, Iraq, Libya, and Iran) as well as residents of Brazil, Italy, Argentina, Turkey, Romania, Poland, or the Province of Quebec, Canada), who are 13 years of age or older (15 in Norway, and 18 in Germany). HOLIDAY HERITAGE RECIPE CONTEST

DESCRIPTION

Submit your original recipe for a Holiday Heritage Sweet Treat (dessert) that has passed through more than one generation of your family or friends. This means that it should have passed from an older to younger generation  — you received it from someone older or passed it to someone younger, not to/from a sibling or peer. Include a short story about the heritage and tradition of the recipe (important!), and be sure to add a nice photo of the dessert. Get your network to vote for your entry once it's posted.

AVOCADOS FROM MEXICO MINI CHEFS CONTEST – DECEMBER 2016

DESCRIPTION

Submit a video of you and your child(ren) preparing one of the provided recipes using Hass Avocados from Mexico — or make your own recipe using a Hass Avocado from Mexico. You must choose a "talking points" script  sheet from those provided on the contest site, and include at least two of the talking points on the sheet in your video. The video may not be longer than 10 minutes in length and can't include any music, nor anyone other than you and up to three of your children.
This is the third of a series of nine monthly contests. It's not clear if different recipes are provided monthly. Non-winning entries do not carry over to subsequent entry periods.

Eight finalists must attend the Tailgate Throwdown Recipe Contest final event in January 2017 in the greater Chicagoland area. Transportation and equipment are the finalists' responsibility. Finalists may arrive as early as 9:30 a.m. to prepare for judging at 11:30 a.m.

Open to legal U.S. residents residing in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa or Wisconsin who are age 21 or older.

RECIPE CATTLE CALL CONTEST – DECEMBER 2016

December 30, 2016 (date not definite, but finalists are announced December 31)

DESCRIPTION

Submit a photo of your original recipe that uses Maple Hill Creamery dairy products. Any type of recipe is eligible. If submitting via one of the social media options, include the hashtag #RecipeCattleCall and tag Maple Hill Creamery in your photo.
This contest is one of a series of ongoing monthly contests, and non-winning entries carry over to subsequent months, although the monthly themes may vary. This month's theme is "Holiday Recipes" (the same as November). Three finalists per month will be asked to submit the full recipe for their entry for further judging.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC who are age 18 or older.

PRIZES

COOKIES BBQ 40th ANNIVERSARY RECIPE CONTEST

DESCRIPTION

Submit your favorite recipe using one of Cookies' sauces or seasonings. Their line includes 5 BBQ sauces and 2 other sauces, a salsa, and a seasoning blend. Judging will be done in two categories: Cookies BBQ Sauces and Other Cookies Products. The entry form asks you to choose a main ingredient from these possibilities: beef, pork, poultry, seafood, or wild game. It also asks you to choose the meal type from Appetizer, Breakfast, Dessert, Main Dish, "On Air Recipes", or Side Dish.

ELIGIBILITY

Residency requirements aren't given, but because of the size of the prize, we wouldn't be surprised if the contest is only for the 48 contiguous states. No age limit stated.

2017 NATIONAL FESTIVAL OF BREADS™

DEADLINE

DESCRIPTION

Enter your original bread recipes where at least fifty percent of the total flour used in the recipe is King Arthur unbleached wheat flour (All-Purpose Flour, Bread Flour, Premium 100% Whole Wheat Flour, White Whole Wheat Flour, Self-Rising Flour, Sprouted Wheat Flour, or Organic Flours); you must be specific in your recipe as to which one is to be used. Recipes submitted by adults must also use at least one 1/4 oz. of a Red Star yeast (any variety, i.e. Active Dry, Bread Machine, Quick Rise, or Cake (Fresh) Yeast) as a leavening agent in the Yeast Bread recipe. If you are not specific in naming the qualifying ingredient(s), your recipe will not be considered. Bread machines may be used for some or all of the preparation process. The recipe must yield a minimum of two loaves or one dozen rolls, except for Dutch oven recipes, which may yield one loaf. A photo is required, and should show the cut loaf or roll.
Include a short history of the recipe (source, modifications, etc.) and a photo with your entry.
Adult categories are Holiday Breads; Rolls; Time-Saving and Simple Breads; and Whole Grain Breads. Youth categories are Yeast Breads and Quick Breads. Many forms of breads are acceptable in each Youth category. Special awards are given to youth who use white whole wheat or a corn ingredient; adults may win a special award by using KA sprouted whole wheat flour, white whole wheat flour, a soy ingredient, or a corn ingredient. See the rules for a full list of possible ingredients.
Eight finalists from the Adult division will participate in a live competition, during which they must prepare their recipes in six hours or less. Dough requiring overnight refrigeration may be made the night before (limited to 30 minutes).

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC who are age 8 or older, who make less than 25% of their income from baking. Youth category is for ages 8-17. Past Champions may not enter, but past finalist may enter again.

YOUTH AWARDS
Grand Prize: $300 scholarship.
2 Runner-up Prizes: $100 scholarship.
Best Recipe Using Soy Ingredient: $100 cash.
Best Recipe Using White Whole Wheat Flour: $100 cash.

Also, the finalists will be invited on a Wheat Harvest Tour in the Heartland, including visiting a working Kansas wheat farm, flour mill and grain elevator, on June 16, 2017.
Whole Grain Bonus Cash: Any recipe using at least 50% whole wheat flour that becomes one of the 8 Adult finalists will receive an additional $200 cash.
Grand Prize: $2,000 cash plus a trip to attend a baking class of their choice at the King Arthur Flour Baking Education Center in Norwich, VT. Trip includes class tuition (maximum $500), hotel, and airfare to and from Vermont (Travel not to exceed $1,500 and total prize package not to exceed $4,000). Winner will also receive 120 envelopes of Red Star Yeast.

2017 STATEN ISLAND ADVANCE COOKBOOK CONTEST

The format for this annual contest has changed this year. Weekly ingredient suggestions will be made that may motivate a submission. Food and drink recipes will be judged separately. Six food recipe finalists and and one drink recipe finalist from each season will be asked to bring their prepared recipe to the annual taste-off. The final judging event will be held at The Hilton Garden Inn on March 19, 2017.
