It's back! Submit your idea for a future flavor of Lay's® Potato chips. Choose your chip style, name the flavor, list up to 3 major ingredients, the city and state of your inspiration, and describe your flavor inspiration in 200 characters or less (160 characters if entering via text message). See a list of existing flavors here — you don't want to duplicate any! 4 Finalists' flavors will be produced on a limited basis.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC who are age 18 or older.

PRIZES

DESCRIPTION

You must apply to participate in this challenge. If accepted, you will be sent your choice of one free spice blend packet from Healthy Solutions Spice Blends to create a recipe. For recipe submissions, the sponsor is looking for recipes that are easy to recreate, delicious, original, inventive, and great for busy families. You must publicly post your recipe on your blog and to all social media platforms that you use such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and Tumblr. Also email your original recipe, photo of your finished dish, and links to your published recipe to the sponsor by the Challenge deadline.

WORLD FOOD CHAMPIONSHIP: BACON CHALLENGE

Submit an original recipe of any type featuring Bacon as the main ingredient. Also upload a digital photograph of the prepared recipe and a description(100-250 words) about the recipe’s history/heritage and why the recipe is meaningful to you.

Grand Prize: A trip for Winner to participate in the World Food Championships in Kissimmee, FL beginning on November 3-10, 2015. FOOD FIGHTERS SEASON 2: CASTING CALL

One of the most exciting cooking competitions on network television is returning for Season 2 and is searching for the next group of America's best home cooks!
Food Fighters gives normal everyday folks the once in a lifetime shot at cooking greatness, with the chance to win a huge cash prize, not to mention bragging rights! Enter your best recipe combining apples and datil peppers. Cakes, crisps, crumbles, cookies, sandwiches, entrees, compotes, condiments are welcome, but no apple pies, please. Include a brief background story of the recipe (<100 words), and a photo of the dish.
10 Finalists will be invited to bring their sample dish to Hot Shot Bakery in St. Augustine, FL on April 18, 2015 for a tasting competition.

ELIGIBILITY

Must be age 18 or older. No residency requirements stated, but keep in mind that transportation is not offered to the final event.

2015 BERRY BLAST OFF RECIPE CONTEST

DESCRIPTION

Enter your original recipe that specify the use of strawberries without baking in the preparation (use of grill, fryer, stove- top permitted). The recipe must serve six and must be able to be prepared and presented within 60 minutes. Five finalists will participate in a cook-off on May 5, 2015 in Oxnard, CA; two will go on to compete May 16 in a final event in Oxnard.

ELIGIBILITY

Not eligible if you've won twice previously. Entrants under 21 may not win the Grand Prize. Travel arrangements to Oxnard, CA for the cook-offs are the finalists' responsibility.

Top 5 Finalists: Four complimentary tickets to attend the California Strawberry Festival in Oxnard the weekend of May 16-17, 2015 and a complimentary 2015 collector poster.

2015 H-E-B PRIMO PICK

DEADLINE

DESCRIPTION

H-E-B is looking for new food or beverage products with Texas roots. Nominate at least one but no more than three food or beverage product that is produced, manufactured, grown, or harvested substantially in Texas. You should be able to suppy it for sale in H-E-B stores throughout the State of Texas. It must be suitable for human consumption and comply with all laws affecting its production or sale in retail grocery stores.

ELIGIBILITY

Individuals who enter must be legal residents of Texas who are age 18 or older.
Also open to legally organized business entities which, at time of entry, are validly authorized to do business in Texas and have business operations in Texas.

PRIZES

Grand Prize: $25,000 cash and a Pitch Opportunity—thirty days to discuss with Sponsor (may be extended by mutual consent) mutually agreeable terms for potential sales of the Grand Prize Winner's winning product in H-E-B stores. Neither party is obligated to enter into any contract.
First Prize: $20,000 cash.
Second Prize: $15,000 cash.

2015 BISCUIT BAKING CONTEST

Enter your biscuit recipes in your choice of four categories: Savory Biscuits, Sweet Biscuits, Special Biscuits, and Student Biscuits (18 and under only). Include a photo.
Three finalists from each category will be chosen to prepare biscuits at the Biscuit Baking Contest on May 16, 2015 in Knoxville, TN.

2015 GREAT GARLIC FESTIVAL RECIPE CONTEST AND COOK-OFF

DESCRIPTION

Enter a recipe that specifies the use of at least 6 cloves of fresh garlic, or the equivalent packaged form (three teaspoons minced or chopped). Keep the title of your recipe under 10 words, and include a photo with the entry. This is a contest where elaborate, multi-part dishes — and even a side dish — seem to be welcomed, as long as you can meet the time limits!
If you are one of the 8 Finalists chosen to participate in the Cook-off on July 25, 2015, you will be expected to prepare seven separate plates, all within a maximum of two hours. Five plates will be for the judges, one plate for the emcees, and one plate will be used for presentation to the judges and for media purposes.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of Canada and United States who are age 21 or older. Previous first, second, and third place winners must sit out three years before re-entering.

First Prize: $5,000.
