DESCRIPTION

Sign up as soon as possible up to participate in this blogger challenge, because there's a limit of 100 participants — 50 in each category. Once you're accepted and have received your choice of free product, create a stir fry or cold noodle salad (the categories) showing the magic that occurs when Asian is fused with other unexpected non-Asian flavors.
You have until August 31, 2016 to develop your recipe and post it on your food blog, as well as on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram, including sponsor links (use of other social media optional but encouraged.) AVOCADOS FROM MEXICO MINI CHEFS CONTEST

Submit a video of you and your child(ren) preparing one of the 12 provided breakfast recipes using Hass Avocados from Mexico. Your Mini Chef must mention at least one of the three provided talking points during the video. The video may not be longer than 20 minutes in length and can't include any music, nor anyone other than you and your child(ren).

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC who are age 19 or older, and are the parent/guardian of between 1 and 3 children ages 4-12 who participate with them in the entry.

PRIZES

Grand Prize: A 3-day/2-night trip for winner and one Eligible Child that appeared in the entry to Dallas, Texas to record winner's own Facebook Live cooking show event with winner's child. 37th ANNUAL NATIONAL OYSTER COOKOFF

DEADLINE

DESCRIPTION

Submit your recipes that feature fresh oysters. Recipe must use a minimum of 1 pint of oysters or 1 dozen fresh oysters in the shell, and prep and cooking time should total no more than 1 hour. 3 finalists per category will participate in a cook-off October 15, 2016 in Leonardtown, MD.
There are 3 categories: Hors d'oeuvres; Soups & Stews; and Main Dishes.
(Note: This is the 37th cook-off, but the 50th Oyster Festival).

ELIGIBILITY

9 Finalist Prizes: Lodging and a reception will be provided the night before the cook-off. Transportation to the event, cooking utensils and ingredients (except oysters) are the finalists' responsibility.

GLORIA FERRER GLORIOUS BITES APPETIZER CHALLENGE

DESCRIPTION

Create a recipe for an original appetizer that pairs gloriously with Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut. Make it sound great, look beautiful, and taste wonderful! The recipe must be written in 500 words or less. Photos are optional and will not be judged.
Six semifinalists in each of three regions will compete in cook-offs in September 2016 for the chance to continue on to a national cook-off.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC who are age 21 or older.

PRIZES

18 Semi-Finalist Prizes: A $100 pre-paid debit card for required appetizer ingredients for the regional cook-off. If Semi-Finalist lives more than 200 miles from Regional Cook-Off city, Semi-Finalist will be required to provide their own transportation to and from the event and will receive one $500 pre-paid debit card for travel and lodging expenses. Semi-Finalist is solely responsible for all other expenses (ARV $500).
3 National Finalist Prizes: A $100 pre-paid debit card for required appetizer ingredients. If finalist lives within 200 miles from the Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards in Sonoma, CA, Finalist will be required to provide their own ground transportation to and from the event and will receive a $200 pre-paid debit card for fuel and toll expenses; otherwise finalist receives airfare for 2 to a major international airport in Northern California and one night hotel accommodations. A special dinner will be served on the Point Reyes Farmstead the night before the cook-off (ARV $2,500).
Grand Prize: $5,000 cash, awarded as a check payable to the winner.

MIONETTO COCKTAIL CHALLENGE

DEADLINE

August 31, 2016

DESCRIPTION

Submit a cocktail recipe containing at least 1 fluid ounce of prosecco in the final cocktail, and at least one other alcoholic ingredient; do not use brand names for the alcoholic ingredients. No more than 6 ingredients total are allowed, and all must be readily available commercially. You may add a photo, but it will not be judged.
This challenge is split into a Consumer Contest for amateurs and a Bartender Contest for professionals; judging and prizes are separate.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC who are age 21 or older. To enter the Bartender division you must be employed as a bartender.

2016 BEN'S BEGINNERS™ COOKING CONTEST
