DESCRIPTION

Food Network has issued a casting call for a new show. Skilled home cooks should email the casting agents, placing their city and state in the subject line. In the body of the email, include your name, phone number, current occupation, how you heard about the casting (Contest Cook, of course!), a description of your cooking background, and why you have what it takes to be America's greatest home cook. Also include a recent photo of yourself and at least 3 photos of dishes you've created. Savory dishes are preferred.

BT CALGARY - CALGARY CO-OP "FRESH-CIPE" CONTEST

DESCRIPTION

Submit your "Fresh-cipe" — a "fresh idea" mixed with fresh ingredients and your favourite recipe. Include a photo of the dish. The contest is split into 3 week-long entry periods. One finalist will be selected from each period to participate in a cook-off on October 24, 2014 in Calgary, Alberta. They will have about 45 minutes to prepare their completed dish. Ingredients can be peeled, chopped and or marinated ahead of time on site.

CHIQUITA COOKING LAB CONTEST - 3

This is the third of eight weekly contests, each requiring the use of different secret ingredients. Create and submit a unique recipe featuring the secret ingredients for the week you are entering, along with your choice of other ingredients. You may add an optional photo if you wish.
Recipes must feature all secret ingredients, including a Chiquita Banana. This week's other two essential ingredients are Coconut and Hazelnut Spread.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of Canada (excluding QC), the 50 United States and DC who are age 18 or older and have reached the age of majority.

DESCRIPTION

Submit a recipe containing wild or cultivated mushrooms as an ingredient. You may enter any type of dish.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to legal residents of the United States who are age 18 or older.

PRIZES

Grand Prize: Port Orford Cedar plank and a signed copy of mushroom maestro Jack Czarnecki's book, Portobello. More than one prize may be awarded at the judges' discretion.
